DP World Bets $1M on Biofuel-Based Carbon Insetting for Ocean Freight
DP World's Americas ocean freight division will invest $1 million over four quarters in Hapag-Lloyd's Ship Green carbon insetting programme, expected to avoid 4,762 tonnes of CO2 through certified waste-based marine biofuel. Velocys Doubles Reactor Capacity to Make FT-Based SAF Plants Cheaper to Build
Fischer-Tropsch technology provider Velocys has launched the AlphaCore 400 microchannel reactor, roughly doubling capacity per unit while cutting FT unit cost, the first step in a roadmap to scale SAF production. The design targets larger, centralised facilities rather than the smaller, distributed plants microchannel FT has traditionally suited, addressing FT-SAF's higher capital cost versus HEFA.
